Knowing your PC

What you have determines how you will play. It is inevitable players with better PCs have advantages over those with basic PCs. However, your settings determine how well you will perform.

I am really not an expert in this field.

Peripherals

Other than costly computer hardware, pheripherals sometimes play a even more important role in improving your skills.

Mousepad

There are many recommendations regarding specific brands and designs of a mousepad. Although I will drop links to a couple of them, I am not going to discuss them here. I strongly recommend using a LARGE mousepad covering your entire table. In this case, there is no glitches for your mouse and there is sufficient space for your arms and mouse to move.

Mouse

Back in the old days I used to play the game with mouse and keyboard that came with my PC🤔. I would definitely not recommend anyone to do so, as there are two major short-comings:

1. Regular mouse does not have a DPI adjustment feature;
2. Regular mouse usually does not have side buttons and/or we cannot program them.
   A good mouse should have the following features:
3. It should allow you to adjust its DPI freely. (It is even better if you can have a couple of DPI presets to switch easily.)
4. It has a couple of side buttons and we can program them.
5. The size and weight of it meet our needs.

Here is a list of what I think are good PUBG gaming mouses (* means I have one):

1. Logitech G502 family
2. Logitech GPW family
3. Razer Viper V2 Pro
4. ZOWIE EC2 family

keyboard

I do not have a specific brand or model to reference here, but I think it is worth noting one trade-offs. There are plenty of keyboard sizes, from ~40 keys to more than 100 keys. While more keys provide more finer-grained keyboard shortcut settings and thus more controls, many players tend to play the game with their keyboards tilted at a slight (or sharp🤔) angle. They often contradict with each other and thus it is better to estimate if a long keyboard will hinder your recoil control.
